The retreat was excellent, I enjoyed it immensely.

The "retreat" aspect - being away from the city, in an environment conducive to discussions was very useful. Thanks for a good retreat - well organised and extremely professional

The future of payment systems in online and mobile gambling is the single most important issue facing the industry. Transparent systems, with a clear audit trail, are essential both for business efficiency and regulatory control. Fears about online fraud, vexatious litigation and political pressure have led to many of the major US banks withdrawing from the market. Some alternative payment providers such as PayPal have also withdrawn from the market. The Leach Bill proposes a blanket ban on the use of financial instruments in ‘illegal’ gambling. So what is the way forward for a regulated industry that will be socially responsible and free from organised crime and money laundering?
Leading national and international players from the credit card prossors, operators, legislators, regulators, payment system providers and advisors will come together to identify the problems and chart out the future.
The aim of the retreat is:
1. To provide a framework within which intensive discussion can take place.
2. To facilitate the development of practical, regulated transparent payment systems.
3. To examine how to manage the conflicts created by differing regulatory approaches.
