On 17 January 2001 the Copyright, etc. and Trade Mark (Offences and Enforcement) Bill was introduced to Parliament by sponsor Andrew Miller MP. The Bill is due for its second reading on 9 March 2001. It has been welcomed on many sides as a welcome aid if not an answer to the ongoing battle against Intellectual Property crime often referred to as counterfeiting and piracy.
