Data Protection Law & Policy is organising a half-day Briefing on data protection and employment on Monday 19th June 2006.
The Briefing will provide a concise analysis of the key issues that must be addressed by HR and data protection managers and advisors to develop best practice in dealing with employees and their data.
The Briefing is being hosted by employment law and data protection experts Field Fisher Waterhouse in London on Monday 19th June from 8.30 am to 1pm.
The Briefing will look at developing best practice in dealing with the following:
RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION: We look at the process from advertising to appointment of staff. and the employment contract.
EMPLOYEE RECORDS: Collecting information, securing information, handling subject access requests from employees, former employees and applicants, references, disclosure of information, transfer of data to third parties, international data transfer,
MONITORING AT WORK: including CCTV, email, telephone. in-vehicle monitoring, third party monitoring and covert monmitoring.
EMPLOYEES HEALTH: Acquiring and using sensitive personal data: information from medical examination and testing, drug and alcohol testing, genetic testing.
There will be an opportunity to question and discuss with our expert panel on all the issues raised.
