IRB 'Backs Down' on Rugby World Cup Press Restrictions

The World Association of Newspapers (WAN) claims that the International Rugby Board has 'reversed itself' on press restrictions put in place for the Rugby World Cup 2007. Agence France Press, the Associated Press and Reuters suspended coverage of the event in protest at restrictions they viewed as excessive.
