  • The liberalisation of the European services market took a major step forward on 23 November when a European Parliamentary Committee approved the draft services directive - but gambling has been specifically excluded.

  • UK Minister to crack down on ‘illegal’ adverts
  • The UK Secretary of State for Culture Media, & Sport, Tessa Jowell, announced on November 10 “a crack down on advertisers and publishers who knowingly break the law” in advertising remote gambling.
